This paper is the analysis of the answer to the question of the module which was about the necessity of the CEDAW convention while having UN Charter prohibiting all kinds of discrimination on grounds of race, religion and sex. Besides the academic approach of analyzing of the importance of the CEDAW in global level for protection of the women rights, I also tried to give a practical implications of the issues based on the example of Azerbaijan.
